Applied Physics PhD student at Stanford. Ceramicist.

My name is Pranav D. Parakh. I am a PhD student in Applied Physics at Stanford and a member of the Lev Lab. My research sits at the interface of atomic, optical, and condensed matter physics, where I am building an apparatus to study light-matter interactions in two-dimensional quantum materials.

Outside the lab, I make ceramics, play tennis, squash, and pickleball, and spend time with guitar, piano, climbing, and books. This site is a small home for both the academic and artistic sides of that work.
